Curling Leagues

ARC Day Time Ladies

Season Start: TBA || Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 pm || Ladies League

Our league provides various levels of recreational play and opportunities to socialize.

We are managed by a single Executive for both days. Teams are placed into Events and may move between Events during the season based on the outcome of games played. We maintain a list of spares with a variety of skill levels and our Spare Captain connects these curlers with teams when players are needed.

We invite teams and individual curlers that are interested in joining this league to contact us at aldcurling@gmail.com. To register as a spare any time throughout the season, please click here to download the registration form, which includes instructions for submission with payment.

ARC Monday Men’s

Season Start: TBA || Mondays at 7:15 pm || Men’s League

Our league offers a semi-competitive yet social curling experience where the focus is on good games and good fun. We have 20 teams playing across 10 sheets each week, divided into two divisions. Teams play two regular season rounds per year and are reseeded after each round to keep play balanced and engaging. The season concludes with playoffs to determine our champions.

We are currently at full team capacity for the 2025–2026 season. However, we welcome individuals interested in sparing to register on our spare list. To register as a spare, please click here.

For more information, please contact us at arcmenscurling@gmail.com.

ARC Seniors

Season Start: October 14, 2026 || Wednesdays & Fridays at 9:30 am || 55+ Mixed League

The ARC Seniors is a mixed 55+ league. It is a fun and social non-competitive curling league. Registrations are for individuals and not for teams. Teams are selected by the ARC Seniors committee, so teammates are not guaranteed.

To register, click here to download the Registration Form and click here to download the Waiver Form.  Please fill out both forms.  The Registration Form can be emailed as directed on the form or dropped off at the ARC, Attention ARC Senior Mixed Curling League.  The Waiver Form can be handed in on the first day of curling or dropped off at the ARC, Attention ARC Senior Mixed Curling League.  If you are unable to download the forms, both are available at the front desk at the ARC.

ARC Youth

Season Start: TBA || Saturdays at 10:30 am || Youth League

ARC YOUTH

Season Start: October 17, 2026 || Saturdays at 10:30 am || Youth League

The ARC Youth Curling program is for kids age 7 to 18, from beginner to advanced, with

coaches to suit all abilities. Our coaches are Trained Club Coach level or higher.

We provide brooms and sliders for those who require them. Participants are required to

provide: clean indoor shoes, loose fitting athletic pants (no jeans preferred), light jacket

over a couple of light layers, gloves or mitts, and maybe a toque or other hat. (It can be

chilly at the ARC on Saturday mornings). They can also bring their own brooms and

curling shoes if they have them.

We also require beginner curlers and those 12 and under to wear a helmet. While not

mandatory through Curling Canada yet, they strongly endorse the use of helmets for

kids under 12 or anyone at a higher risk of falling. A bike, ski, skateboard, or hockey

helmet is adequate.

We are always looking for parents to help out. Cleaning brooms, attendance, helping

with funspiels, on ice, or even becoming a coach are very important to our program.

Contact us by email at arcyouthcurling@gmail.com for more information.

To register, click here to download the registration form, fill it out, and submit via email to

arcyouthcurling@gmail.com.

FLC Seniors

Season Start: TBA || Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 12:30 pm || 55+ Mixed League

Our mixed curling league is open to all seniors in Calgary and surrounding areas aged 55+. Teams are made up by random draws of positions for both 1st and 2nd half seasons. The level of curling talent is of little importance. We have a great group, with an excellent format and although competitive, everyone has a lot of fun. This includes “stick curling,” as a number of curlers prefer this method of delivering the rock. Head protection, eg. a helmet, is strongly encouraged.

New curlers are welcome! However, if we are oversubscribed, preference will be given to members who curled with FLC last year.

An FLC Seniors Club membership is required to register and can be purchased online through the FLC website.

Hot Shots

Season Start: TBA || Tuesdays at 4:45 pm || Mixed League

The Hot Shots is a semi-competitive recreational league. They run every Tuesday from 4:45-6:45pm. Register as a team to compete for the season in one of two offered divisions.

Requests to join are always welcome, so if you're interested, please reach out to Kevin Goerz at kvngrz7@gmail.com, and Tim Driscoll at tim.driscoll@ieee.org.

MORNING LADIES SOCIAL CURLING LEAGUE

Season Start: TBA || Thursdays at 10:00 am || Ladies League

This is a new league for ARC, with an established following from another club. Our league is looking for additional curlers.

We are proud to say that this league promotes enjoyable recreation, courteous rivalry on the ice, and a genuine emphasis on the social aspect of our league, on and off the ice.

New teams are created each season with a careful balance of skill and experience. This way, the ladies get a chance to get to know everyone in the league. We accept all levels of curling. Curlers sign up individually, as a full-time curler, or, as a spare. Should you need to miss a game, spare assignments are managed within the league through our Spare Convenor.

If you want more information, contact Tracy Franks (President) at tfranks@shaw.ca or Joy Gair (Draw Committee Chair) at jotgair@shaw.ca.

Calgary Media Curling Club

Season Start: After Thanksgiving || Tuesdays: 7:00pm || Modified Open League

The Calgary Media League has been a part of Calgary’s curling community for more than four decades.

Originally established for curlers working in the Calgary media industry, the league has evolved into an inclusive adult recreational league open to curling from all back grounds.

While some rinks continue to have connections to the media industry, media affiliation is not required to join.

The league accommodates a maximum of 20 teams. Each team must include at lease one player of each gender, and curlers are welcome to play any position. Following the round-robin schedule, playoffs are completed by mid-March. Each Season, the Russ Peake Aggregate Trophy is presented to the team with the most overall wins.

Registration information, league details, and the form to join the Club are available through Curling I/O. For more information, please contact cgymediacurl.register@gmail.com.
