The Acadia Community Association is teaming up once again with McDougall United Church to celebrate Neighbour Day 2018 – what better way to do so than with a block party?
Our goal is to unite all our Acadia community groups such as the Acadia Networking and Action Group, the Acadia Friendship Circle, and the Acadia Community Garden and Art Society. The people at McDougall and we, at the community association, agree that connecting with one another should be a priority for community builders. We will serve hot dogs and refreshments and it will be a great opportunity to meet some neighbours and find out what some of these groups have been up to. Last year, about 200 people of all ages joined us to celebrate and get to know some local businesses. This year, the bouncy castle returns, along with some of our favourite community groups and businesses such as Cornerstone Chapel, the Alberta Tennis Centre, and Rucas Bakery. Come meet and say hi to Mayor Nenshi at 11:30am! Please, join us, neighbours! We look forward to celebrating Neighbour Day with you.
