Acadia was established in 1960. It’s bordered by the Bow River on the East, Heritage Drive on the North, Southland Drive on the South, and Macloed Trail on the West. We’re in the SE quadrant of Calgary.
Acadia has the distinction of being home to 9 schools, representing both the Public and Separate school boards, as well as a charter school and bilingual schools.
As of 2014, our population was 10,969. We have ample shopping and restaurant option, and have close access to major transportation routes like Blackfoot Trail, Deerfoot, Southland and Macloed. On the east we have access to the Bow River, and on the West, we have Heritage and Southland LRT stations.
