Hello Acadia – May is online!
Everyone had a great time at the Acadia Community Winter Carnival yesterday! It’s one of the community events that’s led Acadia being named 4th best neighbourhood by Avenue Magazine Survey in 2016. The year before, Avenue’s Best Neighbourhoods Survey put us in the third spot!
Avenue’s Best Neighbourhoods
I encourage you to take 5 minutes to take their survey. Do it now, there’s only a few more days to share your thoughts on your awesome community!
Remember all the great things your community has to offer when filling out the survey. Acadia is well situated in the city with easy access to downtown and onto many arterial road choices if you’re exploring outside the community. We boast green space, many school choices, diverse places of worship. With the Acadia Recreation Complex, Acadia Aquatic & Fitness Centre & Osten & Victor Alberta Tennis Centre, we’re a hub for active living! Our active Community Association is often recognized for it’s engagement. Our community offers a number of housing choices, which attracts all the benefits of having people from all ages, wages and stages of life sharing a space.

Hello Acadia February
Our AGM is tonight!
Acadia Community Association Annual General Meeting
Residents must purchase their annual memberships at least 30 days in advance (Aug 30 cut-off) of the AGM in order to vote. But you can still come and buy your membership tonight. Also, the ACA has a few vacant board positions that could be filled at the AGM.
Memberships can be purchased directly at the ARC (cost is $10 for charter renewal, $15 for single membership, and $25 for family & non-residents).
With membership comes many benefits, including discounts at the ARC and several local businesses. The ARC is home to many great programs that help make Acadia a wonderful place to live.
Support your community!
See below for details!
The Acadia Stampede BBQ returns!
It will be held on Thursday, July 14 from 4:30pm to 7pm.
Come enjoy some food and drink, live music, and family entertainment & activities!
Admission is FREE for ACA members and kids under 12! $4 for non-member adults!
We Need Volunteers!
If you are able to help out, please email Alecia. We’ll provide brief training, supervision & a meal! Whether it’s clearing tables, crowd control, BBQ duty, or a general helper, we’ll put you to work! Choose your shift 4-6pm or 5:30-7:30pm, or help for the whole event!
